The Albany Bulb, locally referred to as "The Bulb," is a spit of land that juts out into San Francisco Bay from Albany. It was a landfill until 1987. Currently it is open space and a popular place to walk dogs. It is also the site of a number of art installations including murals, sculptures and paintings, many made from junk and recycled debris.
