My first trip to The Carrizo Plain was in 1987 when The Nature Conservancy asked me to provide photos for fund raising to help purchase land that would eventually become part of the National Monument. Since then I've made numerous trips. Some of these images were created using High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography to bring out the colors and details on some of the old farm equipment and to make the clouds more dramatic.
